SPLASH has a team of speech pathologists to provide supervision across all practice areas - adult or paeds - we have you covered. If we don't know the answer, we guarantee to find someone who does!
All the SPLASH team have 20+ years of hands-on experience and a passion for helping other speech pathologists.
SPLASH speech pathologists have extra qualifications, bringing deeper knowledge and expertise to every supervision session.
At SPLASH, we focus on supervision and learning —we don’t employ staff to provide direct speech pathology. This means you get truly independent supervision with no conflicts of interest.

What are your qualifications?
A Bachelor of Speech Pathology, a PhD, a Graduate Diploma in Special Education Teaching, Graduate Cert in International & Community Development and a Certificate IV in Business & Entrepreneurship.

What sort of work have you done?
Over 20 years of diverse practical experience in hospitals, community health, early intervention, preschools , schools and my own private practice. I have lectured for 12 years across a range of courses.
What practice areas do you have the most experience in?
Children with disability and working in early intervention, preschools and schools.

What is your favourite work activity?
This is a cruel question - I enjoy so many aspects of speech pathology! I love working with speechies to give the families the best service - through individual supervision, group supervision, lecturing or workshops. I also enjoy working in community teams.

In what other areas do you have strengths?
For a number of years I worked as a preschool teacher for children with disabilities, which turbo-boosted my knowledge of overall child development.

How would other people describe you as a supervisor/mentor/presenter?
I hope they would say I was caring, resourceful, and passionate.

When you are not working, what do you like doing?
I enjoy cooking and I go to the gym. I also walk. My biggest walking effort was 50km in one day with no blisters!

What are your qualifications?
A Bachelor of Speech Pathology, a PhD (stroke), a Grad Certificate in Business Administration & a Grad Certificate in Clinical Rehabilitation (Adult Neurosciences).

What sort of work have you done?
Over 20 years working across the full continuum of care—from acute hospital to inpatient rehabilitation & community supports. I have post-doctoral research expertise, lecturing experience & problem-based tutoring at Flinders University, specifically in adult stroke and TBI.

What would you consider your areas of clinical expertise?
Acquired brain injury and Functional Neurological Disorder including complex dysphagia and aphasia.

What is your favourite work activity?
I enjoy problem-solving in a multidisciplinary team to tackle complex conditions. Patient-centred care that integrates diverse perspectives is great for patient outcomes & valuable for learning.

In what other areas do you have strengths?
Now with my own private practice, I have experience in the NDIS space & appreciate the differences between hospital and community practice.

How would other people describe you as a supervisor/mentor/presenter?
Open, approachable, and creates a safe space for discussions. Grounded in data driven decisions, while keeping patient goals central.

When you aren’t working, what do you like doing?
Travelling is a big part of my life - soaking up new cultures & diving into amazing food. It recharges & energises me to give my best.

What are your qualifications?
A B.Sc(hons) in Speech Pathology from Manchester University in England, a Masters degree in Social Work, and a Diploma of Social Work from Leicester University, and a PhD from Massey University in New Zealand. The PhD was AAC focussed.
What sort of work have you done?
I have worked in community clinics and for an early intervention service in the UK, then in early intervention for the Ministry of Education in New Zealand, followed by a 14-year stint in a special school, and currently for the national AAC assessment service in NZ. I have over 25 years of experience.
What practice areas do you have the most experience in?
I have the most experience in the field of AAC; I have also worked extensively in early intervention, with children with disabilities, particularly autistic children.
What is your favourite work activity?
I love my job: watching children use AAC to communicate for the first time warms the cockles of my heart, and I also love working with parents to build their skills and confidence to support their children to communicate.
In what other areas do you have strengths?
I have also qualified and worked as a social worker for a few years. This has helped me to develop a holistic approach and deepened my understanding the difficulties faced by families living with disability.
How would other people describe you as a supervisor/mentor/presenter?
I think they would say that I am approachable, willing to share knowledge, passionate and caring
When you are not working, what do you like doing?
I am a nature nerd. I love watching wildlife, snorkelling, paddle boarding, and watching things grow.

What are your qualifications?
A Bachelor of Speech Pathology from Sydney University & Masters of Arts (Applied Linguistics) from Macquarie Univeristy.

What sort of work have you done?
​I have worked for 12 years at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital as The Head & Neck/ENT Speech Pathologist and for over 25 years in private practise specialising in treating all types of voice disorders.
​
What practice areas do you have the most experience in?
I have specialised with all types of voice disorders my whole career. My particular area of interest is working with professional voice users eg singers, actors, teachers, fitness instructors & auctioneers. My passion is holistic, multidisciplinary voice management.

What is your favourite work activity?
I love observing people literally blossom as they free their voices and gain control of their valuable instrument!

In what other areas do you have strengths?
I love the preventative side of voice management so really enjoy providing lectures/workshops to professional voice users to educate and improve their understanding of their most valuable tool of trade.

How would other people describe you as a supervisor/mentor/presenter?
Passionate, enthusiastic and willing to share my knowledge & experience (over 35 years in the game!!)

When you are not working, what do you like doing?
I am a devoted yogi and card game player. I am committed to becoming fluent in Italian & living a ‘dolce vita’.

What are your qualifications?
A Bachelor of Speech Pathology & a PhD. I am an Honorary Clinical Fellow at the Australian Stuttering Research Centre, a member of the Lidcombe Program Trainers Consortium & a member of Continuing Professional Development in Stuttering (CPDS).

What sort of work have you done?
My career spans clinical, academic, & research roles in Australia & overseas. I have worked in leading stuttering services including the Bankstown Stuttering Unit, Australian Stuttering Research Centre, Murdoch Children’s Research Institute, & University of Melbourne.

What practice areas do you have the most experience in?
Stuttering across the lifespan.
​
What is your favourite work activity?
I love being face-to-face with clients. It’s a privilege to work alongside people & their families, supporting them to achieve their communication goals.

In what other areas do you have strengths?
I hold a certificate in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) & have a particular interest in the psychosocial implications of stuttering. I enjoy staying up to date with the latest stuttering research and attending conferences to learn from experts around the world.

How would other people describe you as a supervisor/mentor/presenter?
Practical, inclusive, and grounded in strong clinical knowledge.
​
When you are not working, what do you like doing?
I enjoy time with family & friends, exercising, gardening, hiking, & rabbit holes of new interests.
