What are your qualifications?
A Bachelor of Speech Pathology from Sydney University & Masters of Arts (Applied Linguistics) from Macquarie Univeristy.
What sort of work have you done?
I have worked for 12 years at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital as The Head & Neck/ENT Speech Pathologist and for over 25 years in private practise specialising in treating all types of voice disorders.
What practice areas do you have the most experience in?
I have specialised with all types of voice disorders my whole career. My particular area of interest is working with professional voice users eg singers, actors, teachers, fitness instructors & auctioneers. My passion is holistic, multidisciplinary voice management.
What is your favourite work activity?
I love observing people literally blossom as they free their voices and gain control of their valuable instrument!
In what other areas do you have strengths?
I love the preventative side of voice management so really enjoy providing lectures/workshops to professional voice users to educate and improve their understanding of their most valuable tool of trade.
How would other people describe you as a supervisor/mentor/presenter?
Passionate, enthusiastic and willing to share my knowledge & experience (over 35 years in the game!!)
When you are not working, what do you like doing?
I am a devoted yogi and card game player. I am committed to becoming fluent in Italian & living a ‘dolce vita’.
